We’re a team of documentary-style photographers with an editorial flair, capturing authentic moments with an artistic touch.
We believe in blending the best of both worlds – the nostalgia of 35mm film and the crisp modernity of digital photography. Our approach is carefully crafted to reflect the unique personalities and tastes of each couple, creating a gallery that feels both timeless and fresh.
A love letter from Taylar…
My journey as a wedding photographer has been shaped by my experiences growing up around the world. I grew up in a military family constantly on the move. Having lived in 3 different countries by the time I was 12, the art of ‘remembering’ is something that became somewhat engrained to my core at an incredibly young age.
My upbringing has given me a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for the beauty in both life's most meaningful moments, and the average Tuesday night. It’s this diverse background that has inspired my photography and the way I approach each wedding I shoot.
I believe that every couple’s love story is unique, and I’m passionate about capturing those special moments that make each celebration so deeply personal. Im a firm believer that weddings are about people and are deeply human in nature - and photography gives you a visual window into that connection and experience. Embracing that lived in experience and giving you emotionally heartfelt imagery that still transports you back into your wedding day 30+ years down the road.
There’s something incredibly special about being part of such a significant day in people’s lives and documenting it in a way that feels true to who they are. My goal is to curate an experience that reflects the real connection between our couples and their people. From the service before and on the wedding day, to a gallery that encapsulates the day and all the energy with it.
Your wedding day have been meticulously planned for months and cumulates in one celebration to mark the start of your next chapter. I want your imagery to remind you of that, the journey you’ve been on and the memory of your wedding day as if it were a forever playing highlight reel in your head.
We are deeply passionate about what we do, and our couples become our family. So we want to share a little of who we are with you too…
Get to know us outside of Photography
Taylar, Dan and our two mascots Kodak and Moose!
We are based in the heart of Yorkshire, but more often than not you’ll find us in the Surrey Hills, the cotswolds or adventuring around Scotland bouncing from wedding day marquees to free day hikes, and coffee shop stops. When we aren’t photographing weddings we generally still have a camera in hand, and we are finding any excuse to take our two pups out on an adventure. Chasing sunrises, eating way too many pastries, and trying to find the world’s best margarita.
During the down season you’ll usually find us back in Hill Country in Texas (where Taylar grew up), or trying to fit a trip in to visit a experience a new country and escape the English winter.
We are home bodies at heart and big family people, so any down time we get is usually spent at one of Tay’s infamous family barbecues (a fun hybrid Texan/Zimbabwean combo), or up in the dales tiring the pups out with Dans family. When we get a smidgen of time at home, Dan is usually the kitchen cooking up all of Taylar’s favourite seafood dishes and Tay is usually bundled up under a million blankets napping with the pups.
Our Story…
We are firm believers in the invisible string theory.
Having met on new years eve 2019 at a bar in Sheffield that neither of us had originally planned to be at. Just months after Taylar moved to the UK and started a new coaching role at a cheerleading gym locally, the girls at the gym had forced her to go out and celebrate her birthday (new years day). One of the girls had tripped over one of Dans friends, and a little bit of sass was exchanged between the two of us. Catching each other off guard, we ended up sparking conversation around food and Kodak (Taylar’s husky), and have been near enough inseparable ever since. Starting as friends, it wasn’t long before we realised it was definitely a lot more than that.
Fast forward 5 years and we are on a surprise (to Taylar) road trip around Norway chasing the midnight sun.
Dan drops to one knee (after a momentary nervous glitch leading Dan forgetting how to kneel), and asks a pretty big question we’d all been waiting for. A shiny new ring and a pretty fun new title (hello, I’m a fiancee now?) later, we are now in the depths of wedding planning ourselves!
Moose (our German shepherd puppy) joined the family this year to add a lil more chaos to our lives - because apparently running two businesses, and planning a wedding wasn’t enough madness already?
